Conference

In order to play for the National Title, I feel you should have to be Confrence Champion, with some grey area, like Co-Champions.
However, I do feelyou should have to win your confrence. I also think all confrences need to have a confrence championship game or no championship games at all. Yes, I’m a Big 10 fan.

You bet they should….in ‘01 or so, Oklahoma got stomped in the Big XII Campionship game by Kansas State but they still played in the National Title Game….wow….If you’re not even the best team in your own conference how are you in the "top 2" in the nation???

I am looking to sell photographic art at an art show or better yet a photography convention and I keep running into dead ends on yahoo giving me either old outdated shows or photograpy business sites but nothing on conventions or shows. I am looking for maybe a list of convention promoters in that area that I can get ahold of.

that guy can play with anyone. and his scoring barrages can’t be overlooked when he’s healthy. but the only problem is, there is only enough room for a couple under achieving players on the all star team, everybody cant go every year. yes there are some snubs, but fans don’t look at these all star games like that. he should’ve made it 2 years in a row actually, but i guess fans just want to see household names for the most part. i dont think wade should’ve made it as a starter, but hey, fans dont care about team records.
if things were based off who actually deserved it, ratings might not be as good. but i must admit, i do like his jumpshot, that shot is pure!

Hey Should College Football Confrences have Divsions i just want your opinion.

Yes it should because it sets up the two best teams of either divison to crown who is the best team in the conference.But having it for the SEC,Big 12 and ACC are ok.The Pac-10 and Big 10 would really hurt because there only a few good teams in each conference and we could see the same 2 teams runnin a conference for decades so havin it to who wins the most conference wins is ok for them.

I have been selected to coordinate a workshop for French teachers. What would they like to see and do? What would be valuable and interesting for them? I am a teacher but do not speak French. This is in Canada. Also, are there any teacher stores that might have products to display that you know of?

As you know teachers always love to come away from workshops with ideas and materials that can be used immediately in the classroom. You could provide some games, activities and songs that support the learning of grammar and vocabulary. For example a Tic Tac Toe game can be used with a variety of topics to help students to practise vocabulary, verb agreement, French structures etc. One idea is to write an adjective in each Tic Tac Toe square, some in the masculine form and some in the feminine form. To win the square the student must say either "Il est" or "Elle est" to match the adjective. Play one or two games together and then have the teachers brainstorm ideas of how the game can be used for their level of students. You may want to give time for them to make their own game boards. Games such as Concentration, Jeopardy and Hangman also work well.

A session on using songs to review vocabulary and improve pronunciation can be useful.

Language teachers are also concerned with finding ways to encourage oral participation. You could have a session on using pre-written or student-written skits to be acted out live or with puppets.

Using well-known stories such as fairy tales and fables also improves comprehension when students are learning to read and speak another language. Give the teachers some scripts to act out or have them create simple puppets to take back to the classroom to use with a fable.

Bush did better in the town hall meetings than in other formats during his campaigns. Shouldn’t that tell us that whatever advantage Republicans seem to think McCain would have in town halls doesn’t really translate into being a good President?

Bush has been a good President during a very tough time. The President’s #1 job per the Constitution is too keep Americans safe from foreign attack. He has done a REMARKABLE job at that compared to the non-stop attacks of the Clinton administration.

For the people who met their significant other online, how long did you talk online before meeting? Do you recommend talking on the phone before meeting in person?

I’m asking because I don’t want to talk to my internet crush by webcam or something before meeting because I think it’s awkward and not a good way (personally, for me) to meet someone. I rather meet in a public, safe place. Would this be okay? Any advice for me?

Definitely talk on the phone first. You can tell so much about a person just from that and it’ll make it less awkward later. You’ll get a feel for how they talk/act in "real life"

Also, webcam might be a good option too… voice chat and webcam.

As long as you meet in a public, safe place and have your own ride there and back (and don’t tell him where you live, etc). I don’t see a problem with just chatting on the phone for a bit then meeting up.

I talked to people I’ve met online anywhere from 1 week to 6months before meeting in person.
