Many bird watchers think so and Brome actually makes four different kinds of the squirrel buster special bird feeder models to stop squirrels. And now there are many avid birding enthusiasts that rate these excellent products way above all else, in the bird feeder world.
So just take a much closer look at these special four amazing squirrel buster feeder products and what they do. First of all there is the Squirrel Buster Classic, which is based on a simple plastic tube design with an effective wire shroud around it for protection.
The main food access points are in this wire shroud and they are simply aligned up with the feeders feeding ports so that the birds can get to the food. Then whenever a clever squirrel climbs right on to the bird feeder its own body weight will cause that wire shroud to quickly move right down over the food access points and therefore block off all of the seed feeder port holes.

Then after your squirrels leave your bird feeder a strong spring mechanism will move the wired shroud right back down into to the right position to allow the bird feeding to continue.
